Brother Pascal AHODEGNON accompanied by Brother Joseph SMITH, the General Delegate for the Asia-Pacific Region, conducted the general Canonical Visitation to the Saint Thomas Province, India, on 8 September-6th October 2017. The communities and the centres were visited and numerous personal and group meetings were held to encourage the Brothers, Co-workers and Friends of the Order to perform the mission of Hospitality which we have been given by our Founder on behalf of the poor, sick and the needy in the religious Province of India.

Bro. Pascal e Brother Joseph was also able to share with the Sisters of Charity of Saint John of God the joyful celebration of the 40^th anniversary of the foundation of their Congregation by the Servant of God Brother Fortunatus Thanhäuser.

The Superior General Brother Jesús Etayo presiding over the Closure of the Visitation on 5 October in Chennai, the seat of the Provincial Curia, attended by numerous Brothers. The day was crowned by the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration at which Brother Savio  Padinjarekutte, the first Indian Brother, renewed his holy vows in the hands of the Brother Jesús Etayo on the 50^th anniversary of his first Religious profession.
