The Enlarged General Definitory 2nd held its second meeting of the year on 16-18 October 2017 attended by: Brother Jesús Etayo, Superior General, Brother  Rudolf Knopp, Brother Giampietro Luzzato, Brother Benigno Ramos, Brother Pascal Ahodegnon, Brother Jairo Urueta, Brother Joseph Smith, Brother André Sène, Brother Moisés Martín and Brother José M. Bermejo.

The agenda included an evaluation and an update on the work done by the Order’s General Commissions and Regions, and information on the 2018 Provincial Chapters .

It also included an update on the work in preparation for the 2019 General Chapter, particularly after the last meeting of the Preparatory Commission with regard to the drafting of the Chapter Document and the proposals of the General Definitory. The members of the Enlarged General Definitory also received a briefing on the logistical aspects of the Chapter, which are being dealt with by an ad hoc Commission .

The meeting was held in a climate of fraternal cooperation, with frank dialogue between all the members, who agreed that the next meeting would be held after the 2018 Provincial Chapters.
