The ERASMUS project

 

The second cross-border meeting of the partners takingpart in the LET IT BE project financed by the European Union under the Erasmus+programme are meeting on 1-3 April at the headquarters of the “Bonifraterska Fundacja Dobroczynna” ofthe Polish Province in Konary (Kraków).

The meeting is attended by some 20 co-workers of theOrder and the Sisters Hospitallers from seven European countries (Spain,Austria, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Ireland and Belgium). Their deliberationseach day are taking place in a very cordial and constructive climate, consideringthat the partners have already been working for several years in the wake ofthe earlier European project.

Through the LET IT BE project, the consortium led by theJuan Ciudad Foundation in Madrid is creating digital teaching programmes toassist people with disabilities to learn using the new technologies. In Kraków,the participants are working on illustrating the operation of a computerprogramme that the partners can use to create serious games (digital educational games) to enhance the ability ofpeople with intellectual disabilities to resolve problem situations. The focusof attention is the desire to create an effective and enjoyable experience forthe users, using virtual simulations of the real world (at school, at work andin social situations) .

The project was originally promoted by the Brussels HospitalityEurope Office, and will be financed with over €275,000 in 2019 and 2020.
