The General
Curia announces to the Order that on 1 September, the Central European Province
was established under the patronage of St John of God. During the last General
Definitory, held last July, the Superior General and his Council officially
erected the new Province, born from the unification of the Austrian and
Bavarian Provinces. The Curia will be based in Vienna and the Provincial and
Definitory of the new Province will be Brother Saji Mullankuzhy, General
Councillor and Superior of the former Austrian Province, and the current
councillors of Austria: Brother Daniel Katzenschläger, Brother Antonius Nguyen
Van Loi, Brother Nikolaus Deckan and Brother Thomas Pham. This government will
remain in place until the Provincial Chapter, scheduled for January 2026. We
trust that this new Province will bear fruit in unity, collaboration and
renewed apostolic zeal for the good of the Order.
Good luck and
keep up the good work!
