In the context of the work of the Chapter and following the establishment of the new Saint John of God North America Province, the capitular members proceeded with the election of the Provincial Superior. 

At the conclusion of the discernment process, in the light of the charism of Saint John of God and the current challenges of the hospital mission in the North American context, on May 14 Brother Thomas Osorio was elected Provincial Superior for the next four-year term. 

May the Spirit accompany Brother Thomas Osorio in his service, so that he may guide the Province in fidelity to the charism of Saint John of God and in responding to the challenges of our time.
