First Profession in Philippines

On 20th June five novices made their simple Profession at St. Richard Pampuri Church at Amadeo in Philippines. Three Brothers, Bro. Joseph Tran Son Ha, Bro. Anthony Nguyen Dinh Hung and Bro. Joseph Tran Dang Tuyen who made simple Profession were from Vietnam and two Brothers, Bro. Raphael Denish and Bro. Stephen Vikas were from India. This is the first time we are blessed with five novices who made their simple Profession after starting the regional novitiate. We had a Brother from Papua New Guinea in the past who made his simple profession in Philippines.

The celebration began at 09am with a Solemn Mass presided by Emeritus Bishop Teodoro Buhain and concelebrated by other Priests. During the Mass the five novices made their simple profession into the hands of General Councillor Bro. Vincent Kochamkunnel as the Delegate of Prior General Bro. Jesus Etayo. There were around 120 participants from various sectors such as religious Fathers, Sisters, and Brothers from other congregations. The parents and relatives of the two Vietnamese novices did come from Vietnam. After the Mass an agape meal was served for all who were present including the clients at the Cerebral Palsy centre. During the meal the Brothers and clients performed some cultural programmes to congratulate the newly Professed Brothers. The novices thanked everyone who came for the celebration especially Provincial Delegate Bro. Roche, the novice master Bro. Fermin, Postulant Master Bro. Romanito and their team for their accompaniment during their postulancy and novitiate.
