The African Province of St Richard Pampuri
On Sunday 30 May 2021, the African Province of St Richard Pampuri celebrated the Solemnity of the Holy Trinity in a special manner with the solemn profession in our Hospitaller Family of Brothers Hector LATTAH and Boris KEGDIGOMA, in the Parish Church of St Joseph in Tanguiéta (Diocese of Natitingou-BENIN).
The rite of profession took place during the Eucharistic celebration at which the local Ordinary, Monsignor Antoine SABI BIO, presided. In his homily, he recalled that the Church, which was welcoming them in Christ, had entrusted them to the Hospitaller Order as the place where their apostolic mission would have to flourish drawing on all their enthusiasm from the certitude that it was Christ Himself who was living in them from now on, guiding their steps, following the example of the Apostle Paul.
Brother Rodrigue DJITRINOU, the Provincial Superior who received their vows in the name of the Superior General, reassured them that, by virtue of profession, their Hospitaller life at the service of the sick and the poor was further confirmation of the variety of gifts and talents that the heirs of Christ receive to build up His Body, which is the Church.
One noteworthy fact is that the local Imam, as the Religious leader of Tanguiéta's Muslim community, accompanied by his councillors, were also present at this celebration.
The whole event concluded in an atmosphere of joy and happiness in the presence of priests, Brothers and Sisters, relatives and friends, who had come to surround the newly-professed Brothers with their prayers and their support and affection.
