The Saint
John of God Polish Province is continuing to help the Ukrainians who have
suffered as a result of the conflict. On 18 August 2022, the Provincial, Brother
Francis, handed over a batch of medical equipment at the Warsaw Provincial
Curia: fully equipped medical backpacks and first aid kits, tourniquets and a
power generator. This was made possible thanks to funds donated by the
Carmelite Sisters of Gdynia and funds raised by collections organised in the
European Provinces of St John of God (Fatebenefratelli). Each medical backpack
includes packs for the treatment of fractures, burns, wounds, emergencies,
haemorrhages, a sheet stretcher, packs: respiratory and personal protection
apparatus. The donations were received by Brother Mirosław Lech in Drohobycz,
who will soon be delivering them to the front in the vicinity of Krematorsk to
save the lives and health of both civilians and soldiers.
