On 22 October 2022 a day of reflection was held, organised by the Pastoral Care of the Sick Delegation of the Diocese of Lérida, on " Sickness. Suffering. The Cross", with a talk by Brother José L. Redrado, OH who also presented his recent book published by Editorial San Pablo "Go and heal the sick. 16 lessons for the pastoral care of the sick".

Two experiences were then presented: "Spiritual accompaniment", by the theologian Mariluz López, and " The synodal path and the pastoral care of the sick", by Rudesindo Delgado.

The day was opened by the Bishop of the diocese, Mgr Salvador Giménez, and the diocesan delegate for the pastoral care of the sick, Dr Jacint Cabau.

The conference was held in the "Casa de la Iglesia. Marian Academy". It was attended by a large gathering of some 60 people involved in the pastoral care of the sick; of particular note was the presence of Bishop Piris, bishop emeritus of the Diocese of Lérida.

We were particularly impressed by the thorough preparation and welcome, as well as the positive message which the speakers left and the attention and enthusiasm of the participants. Now let us give time to time, trusting that the good Lord will make the seed bear fruit so that everything will be for the good of the PASTORAL CARE OF THE SICK.
