Asia-Pacific Commission Meeting
Amadeo Formation Centre, Philippines
The
Asia-Pacific Commission (APC) held its meeting from June 23 to 25, 2026, at the
Amadeo Formation Centre in the Philippines.
The meeting
brought together Br. John Jung and Br. Saji Mullankuzhy (General Councillors),
Br. John Conway (APC Secretary and Facilitator), the Provincial Superiors of
the Asia-Pacific region — Br. Francis Kim (Korea), Br. Dominic Tinh (Vietnam),
and Br. Vincent Kochamkunnel (India) — along with Br. Fermin Paniza (Delegation
Superior, Philippines), Br. Bonifacio Costa (Representative of the East Timor
local community), and the APC Formation Directors, Br. Joseph Van and Br. Paul
Hien.
During the
three-day gathering, the participants engaged in rich discussions on how the
spirit of the Order's General Chapter Declaration can be embodied and put into
practice within the Asia-Pacific region. These discussions bore abundant fruit,
enabling the Commission to draw up concrete action plans for solidarity and
collaboration across the region.
At the close
of the meeting, the following leadership team was elected to guide the APC over
the next four years: Br. Fermin Paniza (President), Br. John Conway
(Secretary), and Br. Francis Kim (Treasurer).
