General Canonical Visitation to the Korean Province.
The General
Canonical Visitation of the Superior General, Br. Pascal Ahodegnon, to the
Korean Province began on August 24 at the Seoul Community. The theme of this
Visitation is "Expanding Hospitality in a Changing World," and
together with Br. John Jung, General Councillor for the Asia-Pacific region, he
will visit, in turn, the three communities in Korea, the community in Japan,
and the various local Service Centers.
During the
Visitation, he will observe firsthand how the universal values of the Order are
concretely lived out by the Brothers and co-workers in Korea, and will listen
to the stories of the Saint John of God family.
It is hoped that
the General's Canonical Visitation — a fraternal visit meant to be with every
member of the Korean Province — will be a spiritual time in which the values of
the Hospitality of Saint John of God can be shared with even more people, becoming
a special experience full of blessing for all. The Visitation to the Korean
Province is scheduled to conclude on September 17.
